Tu-tu Turtles Goodbye

The time has come for Katy to start sleeping in her BIG GIRL BED. A lot of things had to happen for this much anticipated event to take place. The first thing Daddy, Mommy, Katy and Jenny did was release the pet turtles that we've had for almost a year. We were worried that, while sharing a room together is exciting and fun, perhaps someone (or something) might get hurt if there wasn't adult supervision at all times. (Turtle soup, anyone?)





Above: a red-eared slider called Guacamole and a soft-shelled turtle called Pickles are gently taken from their aquarium and placed in their ride to the pond.


Even though they were a little sad to say goodbye to Pickles and Guacamole, Katy and Jenny were totally psyched to go on this adventure.


Katy took some time to say her final goodbyes. Then Mommy and Katy released the dynamic duo back into the wild where they belong.




When asked how she felt about releasing her beloved pet turtles, Jenny had no comment.
